
One of the most neglected yet most important exercises you’ll ever do is the squat. Leg exercises have fallen on hard times lately. It’s rare to see someone doing squats at your gym—most people have a wrong image of them.
So why should you do squats?
When you squat, your entire upper body is working to stabilize the weight. The muscles of the chest, shoulders, arms, and back all work in the movement. It is a great exercise that develops strength, stability and endurance while working the cardiovascular system as well. Therefore, it speeds up the body's metabolism.

Don't be scared by the squat, when using proper form it can be safer than leg extensions. This is a great exercise to try and you'll experience great definition in your legs and more afterburn to aid fat loss--get out there and do it!
